PORK 3: Third Time's The Farm

A laughable mix of professionalism and amateurism. I forked out cash for a half-decent USB headset/headphone combo so I could get a better sound for my talking bits, and then didn't even see how it worked -- just plugged it in and wittered on, only finding out when I came to edit it that it sounded SHIT. Tried to edit the buzz away with some freeware the next day but mostly failed. So you have been warned -- I sound terrible!

The opening track is an incredible bit of oinkery, utterly brutal. I know next to nothing about most of the bands though, and the ones I do know about I know far less than others have already written. I just love listening to them, innit. Now then, the photo and a few of the songs (from the most obscure bands) came from a batch of CDs I bought from Grindethic records. I mainly went there to buy the Blasphtized split CD, but ended up coughing up for more. More is good.

Autopsy have reformed to play at the Maryland Deathfest in 2010, which I am actually considering saving up to go to. Who knows!

  1. Amputated Repugnance - Gutted Like A Pig
  2. Ulcerrhoea - Stagnated
  3. Animals Killing People - Glue Traps For Humans
  4. Subcut - Determinando As Vontades A Inercia
  5. Autopsy - Severed Survival
  6. Cattle Decapitation - Success Is... (Hanging By The Neck)
  7. Terrorizer - Legacy Of Brutality
  8. The Misfits - She
  9. Manowar - Gloves Of Metal (Live)
  10. Progeriac - Three Planet Theory

PORK 2: Sophomoric Swill

Well, I had so much fun making the first one that the second couldn't come soon enough. I basically just picked a few bands -- easy, since I was trying not to duplicate it, but it was only my second show -- and then almost randomly chose a song from each. But I'd already decided that the opener had to be something really pig-like, and for that I ventured into the unknown. The whole experience of making the first show had reignited my love of this stuff and I was hunting down free music from filthy bands across the 'net. The opening song's really not very good, but the intro is AWESOME. I hear that drinking a cup of tea while listening to it might not be sensible ;-) SNORT

  1. Anal Nosorog - Carpathian Swine
  2. Blasphtized - John The Blasphtist
  3. Converge - Hellbound
  4. Satyricon - K.I.N.G.
  5. No Security - Fegis
  6. Rotten Sound - Doom
  7. Rotten Sound - Suffer
  8. Disgorge - In The Acro Cianotye Post Cloning Ectopysm
  9. Carcass - Doctrinal Expletives
  10. Slayer - Jesus Saves
  11. Blockheads - Horned Totem
  12. Severe Torture - Meant To Suffer

PORK 1: The Debut

Made on 4th April 2009. This was my first ever attempt at making a radio(-esque) show. Life was good, and I wanted to play a bunch of grindcore and goregrind and death metal, having a bit of a rabbit between each song. I succeeded! Here, have a listen (hit the big play button!).

  1. Annotations Of An Autopsy -- Gore Gore Gadget
  2. Obituary -- Slowly We Rot
  3. Mumakil -- Pigs On Fire
  4. Dying Fetus -- Born In Sodom
  5. Fleshrot -- Parasite
  6. The Berzerker -- Corporal Jigsore Quandary
  7. 3 Inches Of Blood -- Deadly Sinners
  8. Sadus -- Man Infestation
  9. Suffocation -- Abomination Reborn
  10. Usurper -- Kill For Metal
  11. Nasum -- Revolution II
Other crap
I think the fact that my flatmate walked into the living room just as the first song finished helped set the tone -- as in, literally, helped me get the right speaking tone going on. Not only was I telling my listeners (hah!) who the song was, I was telling him. So I sounded nicely conversational because I was having a conversation, but I carried on in that vein. Thing is though, really, all I was doing was copying what I've heard all my life: people chatting away between songs. I thought it came out OK.
